FAQs
Does your office accept insurance?
Pinnacle Health Solutions does not accept insurance. However, we will provide a superbill for you to provide to your insurance carrier.
How long are the appointments? What do I wear?
A typical treatment visit is 20 minutes. These visits include manual treatments to the areas of complaint. With that said please wear or bring clothes that allow access to that area. Ex: shoulder pain - tank top, hip pain - gym shorts.
How do I know if the treatment will work for me?
Dr. Schultz practices as a musculoskeletal specialist. He specifically treats fibrous adhesion and nerve entrapment which can create chronic muscle, nerve, and joint pain. So if you have chronic back or joint pain we can help. The process all begins with our 20 minute consultation where Dr. Schultz gathers your case details and determines if you will benefit from our treatments.
What is Adhesion?
Fibrous adhesion is the formation of disorganized collagen within the soft-tissue. Think of it like glue. When it is present in muscles, it will stick surrounding tissues together. This could be nearby muscles, nerves, or ligaments. When this happens the function of the tissue is compromised. It leads to decreased range of motion, weakness, and eventually chronic pain.
How is Adhesion formed?
Adhesion is formed from a decrease in oxygen or blood flow to the muscle. This can happen 3 common ways.
Repetitive overuse
Prolonged poor posture
Trauma/injury
How do I know if I have adhesion?
If you have chronic, unresolved pain you likely have adhesion that has gone untreated. An increase in tightness, stiffness, or weakness is another indicator you have adhesion. If you have been to multiple doctors with little or no help, you guessed it! You probably have adhesion.
The good news is that is our specialty at Pinnacle Health Solutions!
